Frequently asked questions regarding PLH Online

 

Q. What's included within the Personal Licence Holder training package?

For each individual learner the purchase includes:

  • The interactive licensing training module that can be downloaded.
  • An SQA Personal Licence Holder handbook for your reference with more in-depth information.
  • A fully accredited APLH or SCPLH exam in a Pearson VUE Test Centre
  • Free resit if required
  • An APLH or SCPLH certificate will be posted to you by SQA when you or your learner passes the exam.
  • Helpdesk support available 7 days

Q. What does APLH and SCPLH stand for?

SCPLH: Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders
APLH: The Level 2 Award for Personal License Holders (QCF). This qualification used to be known as the NCPLH or National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders (England & Wales). 

Q. What does QCF stand for?

The Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) is the new framework for creating and accrediting qualifications

Q. Is PLH Online fully accredited?

Yes. Our Personal Licence Holder online training modules and exams for both the APLH and SCPLH qualifications are fully accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority(SQA)
 

Q. When will I receive my Personal Licence Holder certificate?

On successful completion of the APLH and SCPLH exam, the certificates are issued by SQA and sent to you directly by them.  This takes approximately 2 weeks (10 working days) for the SCPLH and 3 weeks (15 working days) for the APLH. PLH Online cannot accept responsibility for any loss of business due to certification delays.

Q. What if I have a complaint about PLH Online?

We would ask if you are experiencing any difficulty at all when using PLH Online that you contact our helpdesk as soon as possible on 0844 445 7119 or info@plhonline.co.uk and we will do our best to help you. If you are in the unlikely position where you wish to make a formal complaint to us then please make this complaint in writing for the attention of Karen Calvert and we will investigate the matter fully. You will receive a full response and solution to the problem within 5 working days.
