The Licensing Act 2003 and the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 state that anyone who is responsible for selling alcohol to the public must be a Personal Licence Holder. In order to hold a Personal Licence you must by law hold an accredited Personal Licence Holder qualification.

Our accredited NCPLH training (Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders QCF) and SCPLH training has been developed to meet the requirements of both these Licensing Acts. Our Personal Licence Holder training modules will guide you through the various elements that you are required to learn in an easy to understand, interactive and intuitive way. Our Personal Licence Holder training modules offers a cost effective, time efficient solution to mandatory licensing training ensuring the learner is fully equipped with the knowledge required to competently undertake the responsibilities of a licence holder in licensed premises in both the hospitality and retail sectors.

The licence holder examination consists of 40 multiple choice questions, takes 1 hour and is sat online in a Pearson VUE Test Centre. Pearson VUE are the world's leading computer-based testing company and have the largest network of owned test centres in the UK.
